3D and Volume Rendering

Volume rendering takes the data set and provides a 3D volume rendered image that can be “seen through” or with an adjustment of threshold values to highlight the desired tissue, body part, vasculature or pathology. A 3D volume rendered image with color is applied to the specific threshold values. This coloring allows the user to differentiate between tissue, air, bone and fat anatomy easier and more effectively.
