RadSuite RIS - The engine powering
all patient workflow and demographics

Technologist Worklist: The Technologist Worklist allows technologists to view all exams for the selected day, including completed, scheduled, and ongoing exams. Like the Front Desk Worklist, users may select a department, date, and status to view. They may also edit visit and patient information in the system. Special features include:
- The ability to begin, end, and discontinue exams on this screen and track in real-time the patient arrivals.
- Technologists can view patients who have waited excessively in order to more efficiently manage the department workflow.

Patient Information and Workflow Challenges Facing Providers
For hospitals, imaging departments, imaging centers and clinics with radiology, there are a number of challenges regarding the handling of patient information and workflow. Many Radiology Information Systems (RIS) today have minimal flexibility for user and facility preferences and do not communicate well with other hospital information systems such as PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems). Many Radiology Information Systems on the market today have inadequate or cumbersome functionality to handle radiology operational responsibilities and enterprise distribution issues.
Emageon’s Powerful Engine for Integrating Patient Information
The RadSuite RIS is configurable by facility and individual user needs as it interfaces well with other hospital systems to provide a “hybrid” workflow that can be driven by either radiology or PACS. The RadSuite RIS fully automates all functions of radiology, including standard procedures and protocols, inventory management, mammography and detailed management reporting along with the usual standard functions expected from a state-of-the-art RIS product. The product was written by clinical stakeholders to provide an integrated RIS/PACS for hospitals and imaging centers that removes manual processes and errors from the care process.

| Day at a Glance: This feature in the Scheduling System allows you to get the big picture of all rooms in your facility. The blocks of time are color-coded to allow for a quick scan of the times and rooms that are available for scheduling. |
Uncompromised Patient Data Handling and Quality Workflow
RadSuite RIS facilitates tight, standards-based integration with
Emageon’s RadSuite Premium and Express PACS products. This results
in improved clinical workflow that allows implementing crucial
components of the Scheduled Workflow IHE profile such as:
- DICOM Modality Worklist
- DICOM Modality Performed Procedure Steps (MPPS)
- Streamlined reporting tasks
- Reduced data inconsistencies that arise from manual data entry into multiple systems
- Provision of either a RIS/PACS or a desired hybrid-driven workflow, as determined by the customer

Radiologist Task Center: This comprehensive feature integrates a one-stop radiologist dashboard into the popular and robust RadSuite RIS system. This new Task Center provides a single screen where radiologists may perform all of their tasks, such as:
- Viewing the procedures they are required to perform for any given day.
- Viewing the schedule of all procedures and visits for the day.
- Viewing, editing, and signing off transcribed reports.
- Viewing a list of completed exams that are waiting to be read.
- Allows the radiologist to sync up auxiliary systems, such as a PACS system and/or dictation system on the displayed patient’s record. This allows all systems to display the selected patient’s current information.
- Accessing patient visit history, current visit detail record, or schedule detail record and all previous transcribed reports for any given patients.

Tested and Proven Capabilities That Promote Speed and Efficiency
Scheduling: Offers multiple booking capabilities for unlimited rooms and procedures; quick look-up of prep information while booking; conversion to patient visit transaction with no double entry; printing of schedules by date, department and room; automatic time and exam conflict checking.
Patient System: The Patient Master displays the comprehensive patient record. The Visit Details screen provides complete information about specific patient visits. Using the information contained in this module, the Management Reports module can generate over fifty customizable management reports. The Front Desk and Technologist Worklists provide a dashboard for users to quickly view the events in the facility. The Worklist Tree shows a graphical view of work for a specified date that shows the status of each visit. It is designed to manage the workflow in the radiology department from start to finish, from scheduling (or receiving the schedule) of a patient to finishing when the radiologist signs off on the finished transcribed result.

| Daily Report Log: This report displays a summary of the procedures performed in your facility on a specified day or range of days. This report is available in both uncondensed and condensed formats. |
Radiologist Dashboard: This new Task Center provides a single screen where radiologists may perform all of their tasks, including: viewing the procedures they are required to perform for any given day; viewing the schedule of all procedures and visits for the day; viewing, editing and signing off transcribed reports; viewing a list of completed exams waiting to be read; permitting the radiologist to sync up auxiliary systems, such as PACS and/or dictation system on the displayed patient’s record, allowing all systems to display the selected patient’s current information; accessing patient visit history, current visit detail record or schedule detail record and all previous transcribed reports for any given patients. Normals Routine generates a normals report based on procedure code, eliminating the need for menu driven form selection.
Transcription: Enables automatic creation of header, footer and normals reports and allows for radiologist-specific and generic reports to be released by individual reading or releasing radiologists, and by group. The typist work list provides quick access to reports transcribed by specific typists and speeds transcriptions, eliminating errors through use of normals, macros, extended macros, and ACR prefixes and suffixes, generating productivity reports by transcriber and radiologist.
Equipment Maintenance: Tracks and maintains comprehensive service records by machine—the Machine Master screen quickly identifies equipment, service provider, service arrangement, down time, time between service transactions, and current and future availability; specifies parts of machine that may require repair, types of problems machine may have, and types of repairs that may be made; computes preventive maintenance service schedules; totals and averages down times, parts cost, and labor costs by machine; interfaces and captures data from X-Rite densitometers for processor control charts; automatically generates monthly equipment control charts.
Inventory Management: Provides fast, automatic tracking of quantity on hand, reorder points, and overstock points; easy barcode entry of purchases, usage, adjustments; provides enterprise-wide and branch office data breaks, enabling easy inventory transfer if desired; generates customizable management reports, including master list, exceptions, and usage by item.
Personnel Management: Maintains vital, up-to-date information for all members of the radiology staff and referring physicians, including licensing and demographic information; Time Card automatically tracks and summarizes hours by staff member and calculates overtime in accordance with department policy; enables easy contact of additional personnel in short-staff situations; generates multiple customizable reports, including “Expiring Personnel Licenses.”
Quality Control: Ensures that hospital and department quality and safety standards are consistently met or exceeded; records and tracks exam repeats by Radiologic Technologist (RT), procedure, product and machine; tracks and reports radiation dosage by patient; integrates with Inventory Management module to automatically adjust inventory levels to reflect QC.
Standard Procedures: Replaces Protocol Books by an automated system that, if desired, can display the desired Physician Protocol by Procedure for the Technologist.
Web Order Entry and Schedule Request: Referring Physician’s offices can utilize an online order entry system rather than generating a written order or prescription. This reduces order entry errors as well as locks the patient into having the procedure performed at the desired imaging location. A written order can be taken anywhere and the online order entry insures client participation.
Appointment Reminder: An automated system within the RIS that contacts scheduled patients to remind them of their pending appointment. It has the ability to generate reports of confirmed vs. cancelled appointments, allowing the imaging center to reduce no shows and fill in any unused appointments.
Mammography: ACR licensed and accredited mammography package using all modern lexicons and standards. RadSuite RIS completely automates the mammography reporting and required letter generation process.
Management Reporting: Over 208 pre-generated management reports based on 24 years of user’s input. Additionally, all reporting data is provided in open .dbf standards to allow personnel to custom generate reports using Microsoft Excel, Crystal Reports and other similar programs.
