JPEG2000 DICOM Transfer Syntax Support

Emageon supports JPEG2000 DICOM transfer syntaxes which combine very efficient lossless and lossy compression into one dataset. This offers improved compression for lossless images plus the benefits of standards-based progressive wavelet compression for WAN distribution - JPEG lossy (8-bit and 12 bit) and lossless image compression and functional capabilities which acquire and store in desired JPEG transfer syntax and routes to destinations in the same or any other format.
